An example tarot app that draws a spread and reads it with Together AI.
I wanted an example app for the Together API that wasn’t another chatbot, and tarot has always been a way for me to reflect. It asks a few questions, draws the spread, reads each card in parallel and stitches them into one story. The about page only got good once I rewrote it as my story instead of a pitch.
How it works
- 01Shuffle. Draws three cards: past, present and future.
- 02Read. Llama 4 Maverick on Together AI reads each card and the full spread; Llama 3.3 70B Turbo writes the follow-up questions.
- 03Show. A Next.js page lays out the spread and the reading.

What I learned
- Design for the wait. Reading cards in parallel and rotating little waiting phrases made a slow model feel fast.
